Breda municipality has started the planting of Het Levensbos (life forest) in the Haagse Beemden. A new 10-hectare forest where nature will take its own course will be filled with native trees and shrubs.
The idea for this forest arose several years ago and is co-financed by the province of North Brabant's Groen Ontwikkelfonds Brabant. The municipality started the project several years ago in cooperation with Natuur- en Milieuvereniging Markkant, Staatsbosbeheer en Zuylen.
With Het Levensbos, Breda is taking a step towards a greener and more sustainable cityscape, where residents can actively contribute. Over the years, the forest will develop into a place where nature, memory and community come together. The project fits within the municipality's broader ambitions to make the city greener while increasing the ecological value and the climate adaptivity.

The municipality of Eindhoven launched the Stop Street Harassment App in November 2023. Besides raising awareness, the public campaign also aims to create awareness about the current problem and, most importantly, create safety for the target group. The photo campaign could be seen throughout the city of Eindhoven and online.
